Slazengers 4ths played Halifax 4's on Saturday in a nail biting match. It started well for slaz with a goal from Steve Johnson giving them a 1-0 lead and providing them with the confidence they needed to make it to the end of the 1st half on top. Another unbeaten tournament and three more clean sheets for the Slazenger U16 boys. The day started late due to a frozen pitch with games reduced to 20 minutes instead of the scheduled 25 minutes. Slazengers mens 2nd team bounced back from successive defeats with a comprehensive 8-0 home victory over Chapeltown mens 3rds. A mix up with goalkeepers prior to the start meant that forward Jack Mumford donned the pads for the game and will have been upset to miss out on adding to his goal tally for the season.
