Slazenger U10 Boys travelled to Huntington, York in the Yorkshire Youth Hockey League and faced some tough opposition. Slazenger U10 Girls fourth tournament of the season took place in York and they enjoyed a winning start defeating Leeds 1-0 Rebecca Jessop and Katie Brown went close before Sophie Williams scored the eventual winner. But the next two games were not as successful with a 3-0 loss against City of York A and a 5-0 defeat to L.A.Carnegie. Slazengers failed to turn lots of possession into goals when they took part in an U12 boys hockey tournament at Leeds on Sunday. Starting against York, newcomer James Bennertt quickly adapted to the pace of the game and caused problems in the opposing goalmouth, but it ended in a goalless draw. Report: 10-12-2005 – U12 Tournament at Leeds
Slazenger gained three victories from their five matches in a Boys U12s hockey tournament at Leeds on Sunday. Despite having the majority of possession in the opening game against York B, Slazengers failed to cash in but Isaac Fisher cooly scored after excellent work by man of the tournament Jack Kitchen, who beat three defenders before putting in a telling pass, to win 1-0. Report: 13-11-2005 – Boys U12 Tournament
PROGRESSIVE hockey ensured Slazenger Boys U12s' second tournament of the season proved a much more encouraging experience. Slazenger won their opening match against York B with Jack Kitchen sinking the only goal. The second game was a much tougher affair against a technically superior Chapeltown side.
