Slazenger Boys U12's began the year with a tournament, coming away with to wins from their four games. Slazenger got off to a great start when Jenson Brook's brace earned Slazenger a 2-0 win over rivals Wakefield. Slazenger U16 Boys have stormed up the league after they enjoyed a clean sweep of three wins from their trip to the KC Stadium in Hull. They received a morale-booster in their first game, beating league leaders Driffield 2-1. Jake Barras opened the scoring and despite Driffield leveling the scores, Slazenger won the game with Chris Woods strike. Five star Tim Carr steered Slazenger seconds to a stunning 9-4 success over Leeds. Richard Hutchins opened the scoring after just three minutes with Carr doubling the lead before sloppy defending let Leeds in to level at 2-2. Carr and Hutchins restored Slazenger's two-goal advantage with Leeds rallying again before the break to trail 4-3. Slazenger seconds entertained league leaders Chapeltown in need of a good performance - and three points. They got the performance but were dissapointed at not getting something out of the game.
