An outstanding performance from Slazenger thirds' front line gained them a convincing 5-1 win over York. Man of the match Richard Whawell led the way with two superb scoring strikes. Slazenger Boys U16's had a good set of results from their latest round of Yorkshire Youth League fixtures. Goals from Whawell, Kaye and Stuttard produced a comfortable 3-0 win over York. Whawell scored again in the second game only for Scarborough to hit back at the death to pinch a dramatic draw. Slazenger fifths made a bright start at Acomb thirds but eventually succumbed 5-3. Simon Randall put Slazenger in front, but the visitors conceded a soft goal and Acomb scored twice more before 'half-time to seemingly take control.
