A young Slazenger U10's side has mixed fortunes in their first ever tournament. They were edged out 1-0 by Wakefield, drew 0-0 with Adel then lost through tiredness to Bradford. Impressibe were Chris Wood, Jack Mumford, brothers Luke and Jordan Bell, and Elaine Dean. Slazenger are holding a 'taste it' session on Sunday, November 26, for youngsters who want to try their hand at hockey. Freezing temperatures and driving rain added extra tension to a tight game between Slazenger Fifths and Bradford fourths. It ended all square at 3-3. Slazenger thirds were given a lesson in finishing by hosts Sheffield University Bankers. Bankers had eight shots on goal, and scored from six without reply.
