Slazengers shrugged off a poor first-half to take the spoils against Hallam. After a goalless and dour first-half, Slaz came out fighting and it wasn't long before the stale-mate was broken courtesy of an outstanding goal from James Swindon. Report: 14-10-2000 – Mens 2nd’s (2) vs (2) Sheffield Bankers

Slazenger seconds gained a hard-earned point from a 2-2 draw with Sheffield Bankers. James Swinden and Andrew Birkett worked a neat one-two fir the latter to chip the goalkeeper for the opening goal. Slazenger came back strongly but Slazenger dug in and then made the most of a defensive slip, Jonny White slotting home coolly. Report: 30-09-2000 – Mens 2nd’s (4) vs. (3) Lincoln

Slazenger 2nds did something they didn't do for most of last season - start playing from the first whistle - as they overcame Lincoln 4-3. Midway through the first half, Slaz were cruising at 3-0 up, courtesy of striked from Swinden (2) and Tuddenham, only for Lincoln to pull one back. Report: 23-09-2000 – Mens 2nd’s (2) vs (2) Leeds 2nd’s

Slazenger 2nd's claimed a draw in their keenly- contested encounter with Leeds 2nd's. On a hot, sticky day, Slazenger were fortunate to be just 1-0 down at the break, but several substitutions were made and the score was levelled in the early stages of the second half.
