Slazenger 2nd’s claimed a draw in their keenly- contested encounter with Leeds 2nd’s.
On a hot, sticky day, Slazenger were fortunate to be just 1-0 down at the break, but several substitutions were made and the score was levelled in the early stages of the second half.
They should have gone in front soon after, but a penalty flick was saved.
Leeds then came strong again and scored – but then promptly lost their lead to a deft flick into the roof of the net from Birkett, to give Slazenger a share of the spoils.
