Slazenger ladies 4th team played a league game against Sheffield Hallam 5. Slaz were strong from the start and controlled the midfield well through excellent play by Hetty Walker. Some changes were created but Slaz was unable to score. In the 30th minute a great attack over the right, got finished with a strong strike from Ingrid Coughtrey to take the lead. With a better start to the game Slazengers got a reasonably quick goal. But before half time both teams had scored leaving it 2-1 at held time. With no subs an extra hard push was required to seal the victory. Another goal came in the form of a scoop off the goalkeepers bottom but Leeds scored again! Slazenger Ladies 1st team took on mid table Rotherham this week with renewed optimism that they could get a decent result. They managed to hold off for a whole 10 minutes this week which was an improvement but conceded the first goal from a short corner quickly followed by a second 5 minutes later.
