Slazenger ladies 4th team played a league game against Sheffield Hallam 5.
Slaz were strong from the start and controlled the midfield well through excellent play by Hetty Walker. Some changes were created but Slaz was unable to score. In the 30th minute a great attack over the right, got finished with a strong strike from Ingrid Coughtrey to take the lead. From then on, it never looked Slaz was going to loose the game.
The second half Slaz continued with some excellent attacks, which resulted in a second goal for Ingrid Coughtrey and Justine Birkett scored Slaz’s third goal shortly after. Even thou Slaz tired towards the end of the second half, the defence stayed strong with, player of the match, defender Catreena Ferguson playing an superb second half.
This was the second win in 2 games for the newest Slazenger Ladies team, who hope to continue to play well and develop their young team in the second half of the season.
