SLAZENGER came back down to earth with a bump on Saturday after their previous week's impressive victory. Slazenger failed to find their rhythm against third-placed Bradford and went 1-0 down to an early penalty following a goal-mouth scramble. A young Slazenger U10's side has mixed fortunes in their first ever tournament. They were edged out 1-0 by Wakefield, drew 0-0 with Adel then lost through tiredness to Bradford. Impressibe were Chris Wood, Jack Mumford, brothers Luke and Jordan Bell, and Elaine Dean. Slazenger are holding a 'taste it' session on Sunday, November 26, for youngsters who want to try their hand at hockey. Slazenger secured three vital Yorkshire League 1 points with a reasonably solid performance against Bradford. Slazenger took an early lead in the first half with a well-taken goal from Butel.
