Another unsunny day in Adel, but this did not dent the spirits of the Slazenger ladies 1st XI who have only had one game since November due to the bad weather. Slazengers Mens first team continued their good form with a well deserved 4-2 home win against Sheffield Hallam mens fifth team on Saturday. The game started at a fast tempo with Slazengers making all the running and soon took the lead when Ben Graham finished off a good team move following good work from Paul Wiper. Slazenger 3rd's enjoyed a good 3-0 result away against Hull University 3rd's on Saturday with everyone in the side making telling contributions. After soaking up some early pressure from the university side Slazenger's quickly stamped their authority on the game, and other than a couple of breakaway chances, it was a dominance they never lost. After a great team performance last week slaz were looking to get another win with an away match at Leeds Adel Carnegie 5th. This however was not the case and slaz came away with a 1-1 draw. The Match itself was a close one with both teams pushing for the win. Slaz took an early lead with a well-worked goal. Slazengers mens first team got back to winning ways on Saturday with a comfortable 3-1 win away to Rotherham seconds. In reality, the win should have been more convincing with Slazengers wasting a number of chances but the three points are still welcomed after a recent dip in form.
