Slazengers mens first team got back to winning ways on Saturday with a comfortable 3-1 win away to Rotherham seconds. In reality, the win should have been more convincing with Slazengers wasting a number of chances but the three points are still welcomed after a recent dip in form.
Jack Kitchen opened the scoring for Slazengers and when Simon Chamberlain converted a penalty flick just before half time, the game was effectively over. Rotherham did manage to give Slazengers a scare scoring off their only shot on target all game but Paul Wiper stepped up and converted a first class reverse stick strike to make sure of the points. Simon Chamberlain took the man of the match award for Slazengers who will be looking for back to back wins at home to Sheffield Hallam next weekend.
