Slazenger 4's played well against Airedale 3's in short spells but appeared anxious during the rest of the game. The team managed to play the occasional good passage of play but it was too often interspersed with sloppy play that allowed the opposition to defend deeply and hit the home side on the break. Slazenger men’s 2nd team managed to keep their unbeaten record at home this season with a 4-3 win over University of Leeds 6’s. The match was a close one with some great play created by both teams but was overshadowed by disapline issues, with the match having two yellow cards and a red card. Slaz started off with some good work rate but Normanby Park pilled on the pressure and pinned Slaz in their own half. Slaz failed to compose and Normanby Park fired one in. For the first fixtures of the season, Slaz travelled to Ben Rhydding to take on two home teams and Leeds/Adel.
