Slazenger mens 3rd's suffered a 4-1 defeat on Sunday at the hands of Chapeltown 4th's. The team fought hard, but struggled to repeat the flowing form which had created such high scoring victories of earlier rounds of the cup. Slazenger Men’s 2nd Team won at home 3-2 against a ten man Lincoln Roses 4th team. With Slaz beating Lincoln Roses 3rd team convincingly earlier in the season this looked like it was going to be an easy match for slaz, but it was quite the opposite. Lincoln seemed to be up for the match, Slaz looked sluggish and it showed from the start with Lincoln scoring. Slazenger mens first team got back to winning ways on Saturday, with a conclusive 7-3 win over Thirsk 1st's Slaz had a good start and moved the ball round well. However, against the run of play, it was Thirsk that opened up the scoring and went 2 0 up in short order. Under pressure, Slaz maintained composure and played on.
