A depleted Slazenger 3rds team travelled away to play top of the league Lincoln 3rd's and despite an incredibly well fought game, were unfortunate to come away with their first loss of the season. (note - it appears Lincoln's 2nds team have folded splitting between the 1's and 3's, So Slazenger were going to have a tough fight on their hands.) Slazenger Men’s 2nd Team lost at home to Hull University 6-5 in a thriller of a match. Hull opened the scoring with a goal within two minutes of push back, this made slaz wake up and were soon pilling the pressure on Hull and were soon on level term. Slaz 1st travelled to Leeds to play Ramgarhia 1st team. Both teams set off with a clear intent to gain the upper hand, slaz swung the ball round the pitch meeting a packed out defence, whilst Ramgarhia locked their D tight with men and hit slaz on the break with few in numbers with aerial balls. The U12 boys made some good progress at their most recent tournament, gelling as a team, with some stand-out performances. We took a full eleven players includng two 'keepers, with a couple more outfielders unavailable this weekend, which bodes well. Three of the boys were at their first ever tournament.
