Slaz got off to a slow start, not playing as well as usual, and were punished as Leeds scored 2. This early concession woke up the visiting team, who promptly began to get to work. After a postponment last week Slazengers 5ths were keen to get into there match against Rotherham away at the Aurora stadium. However they certainly didn't have things their own way. In a very tight first half Slazengers failed to break down a well organised Rotherham defence and had to relie on some good defensive work from Matthew Smith and alert goalkeeping from Harry Buttery. Slaz arrived at Sheffield to a wet foggy pitch, both teams applied good pressure to get the ball back and when they had the ball moved it around well. Despite a delayed start away at Sheffield Hallam and the pouring rain, Slazenger 3rd's didn't let the conditions distract them and started their latest division 6 match brightly and laid siege to the Sheffield goal from the first minute.
