Sheffield came out hard and put Slaz under a lot of pressure and threatened the Slaz D several times early on. Slaz arrived at Sheffield to a wet foggy pitch, both teams applied good pressure to get the ball back and when they had the ball moved it around well. Slaz carried their winning streak into the following day with a 4- 1 win at home to visiting Sheffield University Bankers 7ths. Slazenger Men's 3rd's travelled to away to Sheffield for their third game of the season. The team were expecting a tough encounter and were not disappointed, however after a steady start, they emerged 3-1 victors, keeping them top of the table for the third week. Slazenger men’s 2nd team travelled to Sheffield university bankers 7s this weekend and narrowly lost 4-3. Slaz did start sluggishly and were soon behind from a well-worked Sheffield gaol.
