Sheffield came out hard and put Slaz under a lot of pressure and threatened the Slaz D several times early on. Thanks to great saves from James Cowden, Slaz were able to build an attack and looked as dangerous as Sheffield on the break.
This resulted in slaz been 1-0 up at half time, even though Sheffield had most of the play. An attacking run from Dan Perry on the right wing crossed to Jack Mumford for a well taken snap shot minutes before half time.
In the second half Sheffield began to tire and Slaz used the space to its advantage. Sheffield had a player sent off and Slaz capitalised by breaking through several times a the Sheffield keeper mainly instigated by Mark Swindon who won man of the match.
Jack Mumford had a productive day a second and setting one up – a swift reverse flick across the D which was finished by Paul Wiper.
