Slazengers mens 2'nd team made it 3 wins from 3 with a well earned 6-2 win against Scarborough. Slazengers started brightly and immediately put Scarborough under pressure with the keeper making a number of good saves to keep the scores level. Slazenger mens 3rd's recorded their first win of the season. After a disrupted season, the team showed form which had been building over the last few weeks. Leeds attacked quickly in the opening minutes of the game, however Slazenger absorbed the pressure; full backs Dave Gascoigne and Paul Johnson worked cleaned up well. In a very close mid table battle Slazengers were tenacious pinning down the Rotherham side and reducing their opportunities. The midfield work really hard in both defence and attack against a strong adult based opposition. Slazengers visited Wakefield at College Grove on Sunday. With a change in line up from recent weeks, Slazengers gave Claire Dunstan a run out who managed to score the opening goal for Slazengers building their confidence which led to another goal shortly afterwards.
