First weekend was a double header with another league game Sunday against a fresh Pudsey who hadn't had a Saturday game. After only playing one game in 3 weeks and having no training Slazengers started slowly allowing Pudsey to get a 2-0 lead in the first 20 minutes, one of the goals being scored after a penalty flick was given after the ball was stopped on the line with a foot. An attacking game for Slazengers from the start Slazengers kept the majority of the possession not giving Pudsey many opportunities. Slazengers couldn't score in the first half but came out strongly in the second half scoring a goal from a short corner and 2 goals from open play. So it's getting towards the end of the season and it's a top of the table clash. Slazengers have been top all season and Pudsey have been right behind. A win means guaranteed promotion and everyone knows it. Slazengers hit hard with the go hard or go home attitude and it soon pays off. Plenty of passing and moving and some silky skills all round.
