Slazenger men's 3rds breezed through the away quarter final cup encounter with Rotherham 4ths, beating them 6-1. Rotherham, who had been unbeaten in cup encounters for 3 years struggled to keep pace with a fast and fluid Slazenger side. Slaz immediately went on the offensive as the game began, with several chances in the opening minutes. The game began sluggishly with both teams making some good chances on goal. Slaz look confident on the ball with good holding play from Ben Graham feeding the ball off to the runners to break the D. Well, October is here and almost a month of the season has gone already! So here is a roundup of news and goings on at your club from the last month.... Halloween! Slaz travelled away to Lincoln Roses 2nd team and after a hard fought game, came away with a fourth successive win, keeping them top of the table for another week. Slaz started out sluggish and paid the price for an unusual defensive error at the back. Lincoln capitalised on the effect and slotted in a second within in 10 min from the start.
