Slazenger had a tough encounter away to Brigg 4th's. Having struggled to score all game, the team put 2 away in the final 10 minutes securing a draw. On Saturday, Slazenger 1st's travelled away to Old Malton, though unfortunately came away with a loss. Slaz faced tough attacks from Old Malton early on though succeeded in soaked up the pressure. Moving out of their own 25 yard area, the team looked composed, pressuring the home team, and breaking up opposition play. Slaz had suffered a dissapointing result the day before, and were looking to make up for it against the Sheffield side. Even though it was a Sunday afternoon game, it began at pace, with Slaz puuting pressure on the home side straight away. Slaz started off sluggish, looking outpaced by the visitors to begin with. However, as the game progressed, the team picked up speed and contested strongly against a well organised and well drilled Leeds team. Slazenger Men’s 2nd Team travelled to Leeds Adel Carnegie and won 4-0. Although the final score looked impressive the match started out quite even and slaz didn’t score until the start of the second half. The first half did see slaz with most of the possession and creating most of the chances but slaz keeper Giles field did have make a couple of saves to keep the scores level, although the Adel keeper did have to make a lot more to keep his side level.
