Slazengers mens 2nd team suffered their 2nd defeat of the season going down 1-0 to a well drilled York Uni outfit. Sporting their new away kit (sponsored by C.J. Metal Recycling), Slaz played local rivals Wakefield away at College Grove. Slazengers went into this game on a good 3-3 result from the previous week. Harrogate got a early goal due to Slazengers lazy start but once they got onto thier stride slazengers dominated possession with help from Mark Swinden and Captain Paul Wiper in midfield. the first goal came from some fluid build up play down the right and a nice finish from Will Copley . Slazengers mens 2nd team travelled to Chapeltown 2's in confident mood following their first win of the season the previous week but in the end, had to settle for a 2-2 draw. Slazengers' first home game of season did not get off to a good start. By half time they where 3 nil down,with a penalty flick being conceeded within 5 minutes of the game starting. With 10 minutes to go the team were still losing 4 -1. However, the team rallied and their never say die attitude brought them back into the game, netting 3 times in the last 10 minutes.
