Slazenger Thirds made a flying start to their Yorkshire League Division 6 clash with Lincolnshire outfit Brigg and maintained their healthy advantage to win comfortably 3-1. Slazenger are desperate for points to get away from the relegation zone so they hit a high tempo from the first to last whistle. Slazenger seconds made an excellent start to the year with a marvelous 4-1 away win over Harrogate thirds.Foreman opened the scoring with a reverse stick from the top of the D. Report: 12-01-2002 – Mens 1st’s (6) vs (3) Sunderland 1st’s

  In preparation for the resumption of their league programme, Slazenger enjoyed a fine win over Division 2 rivals Sunderland. Youngster Richard Whawell enjoyed a rare run out in the firsts, opened the scoring after just two minutes and Keith Whittle doubled the lead two minutes later.
