Slazenger Thirds made a flying start to their Yorkshire League Division 6 clash with Lincolnshire outfit Brigg and maintained their healthy advantage to win comfortably 3-1.
Slazenger are desperate for points to get away from the relegation zone so they hit a high tempo from the first to last whistle.
Pressure from lively forwards Ian Wiper and James Swinden created some early opportunities and Slazenger’s well oiled routines paid off with Martin Lofthouse scoring all the goals from these situation before half-time.
Brigg pulled one back after the break but good goalkeeping from Jonny Walker and excellent full-back play from Neil Hutchins kept the visitors at bay.
The thirds are at Dinnington on Saturday, push back 12 noon.
