Slazengers mens 2'nd team suffered no ill effects following the Christmas break with their first game back resulting in a resounding 7-0 victory over Chapeltown mens 2's. The first 10 minutes or so were quite even with Chapeltown going close on a couple of occasions but once Simon Randall had opened the scoring for Slazengers, things were pretty much one way traffic. Slazengers men's 2nd team were looking to extend their unbeaten run to 5 against Bradford Uni 1st team but came unstuck during a hectic final 20 minutes eventually going down 4-3. Slazengers Mens 2nd team finally got the win their recent performances deserved with a 3-0 victory against Leeds mens 6's. Slazengers started the game at a fast pace and the Leeds midfield were immediately put under pressure and forced into mistakes. Slazengers mens second team travelled to Halifax on Saturday coming away with a 0-0 draw but have only themselves to blame as they dominated possession and chances throughout. Slazengers mens 2nd team had a double header last weekend, entertaining Sheffield Hallams Mens 5's on Saturday before travelling to York University mens 2's on Sunday. Saturdays game saw Slazengers go down 5-2 to an excellent Sheffield Hallam side.
