Slaz ladies 3s visited 3rd place Barnsley where they hoped to claim a much needed point to aid their endeavours to stay in div 5. After their last meeting away at Adel where four goals were scored in the first half alone, to say that Slazenger started as the underdogs in this match was an understatement! Report: 01-03-2014 – ladies 2nd’s vs. Pudsey 1st’s
So it's getting towards the end of the season and it's a top of the table clash. Slazengers have been top all season and Pudsey have been right behind. A win means guaranteed promotion and everyone knows it. Slazengers hit hard with the go hard or go home attitude and it soon pays off. Plenty of passing and moving and some silky skills all round. Slazenger went to Halifax looking to avenge their 0-6 home loss. They looked like a completely different side as they proceeded to take a 2-0 lead much to the delight of the Slaz spectators who had travelled to support. It was very much a game of two halves in the local derby between Slazenger and rivals Huddersfield Dragons and it could also be said that the scoreline flattered the winners slightly.
