Slazenger Ladies Hockey First Team put in an extra special performance this week to ensure two wins in two matches. Slazenger’s took the derby victory. It is always a close game between arch rivals Wakefield, the game proved to be a very good one to watch. With end to end play and each team pinching back a goal there was some great hockey played by both teams. Slazenger Ladies 1st XI showed their true metal on Saturday, putting bottom of the league Harrogate, to the sword with an impressive 7 - 0 win. Although a good result the score line did not reveal the total dominance Slazenger enjoyed throughout the game. The visitors rarely broke into the Slazenger half in the first 35 mins. Thursday 11th March saw I think our first ever that I can remember anyway, evening league game which was rearranged.
