Slaz ladies 1st team faced off against one of the strongest teams in the league; Newcastle university 1st team. After a fast and furious game, the team came away with a solid draw, in a 6 goal thriller. Slaz Ladies 1sts travelled all the way to Alnwick in their first game against the North East team. As a team which had finished high in the league last season, the Horbury side knew they would be playing a tough match, but came out of it with the first win of the season. Slazenger Starts the Season with Busy Club Weekend
It was all go at Slazenger Hockey Club over the weekend, as the club prepared for the new season with a double bill of both tournament hockey and Junior Hockey. NORTH CHALLENGER EVENT 2011 All of the teams were engaged in friendly away matches, with the exception of the Ladies 1st Team.
