Slaz were unlucky to come away with a loss, after enjoying the lions share of attacking opportunities in an open game at the Southfield's pitch. Slazenger went into the game with Halifax with three key squad members missing but were still hopeful that their last years' experience of playing in the league might count for something. Slaz started positively and strongly, so were somewhat shell-shocked when a breakaway by Halifax led to their first goal; completely against the run of play. Report: 11-03-2012 – Boys U10’s Tournament
Sunshine, Smiles, Sticks and Goals were the order of the day for the last tournament of the season with Slazengers fielding almost a full compliment of all thier U10 boys with just Will Fealy having to pull out due to illness at the last minute. Slazengers U16 girls had the perfect end to the last tournament of 2011. 0-0 draw against Northallerton 2-0 win against Leeds 1-0 win against Halifax 3-0 loss against Ben Rhydding 2-0 loss against York The U12s girls had a productive day with a goalless draw against Northallerton, getting the ball high and creating pressure on it.
