Slazenger Boys U12's began the year with a tournament, coming away with to wins from their four games. Slazenger got off to a great start when Jenson Brook's brace earned Slazenger a 2-0 win over rivals Wakefield. Slazenger U16 Boys have stormed up the league after they enjoyed a clean sweep of three wins from their trip to the KC Stadium in Hull. They received a morale-booster in their first game, beating league leaders Driffield 2-1. Jake Barras opened the scoring and despite Driffield leveling the scores, Slazenger won the game with Chris Woods strike. James Bennett netted the winner for Slazenger Boys U12's as they defeated Brigg in the final of their tournament at Pocklington. Isaac Fisher netter the winner in their clash with Hull, while a brace from Joseph Shaw saw them run out 2-0 winners against Thirsk and Jenson Brook gave them a share of the spoils in their clash with Leeds. Slazenger Boys U10's continued their unbeaten start to the Yorkshire Youth Hockey Association's six-a-side competition with four more wins from games played at Outwood Grange College on Sunday. William Copley broke the deadlock for a 1-0 first game win over Bradford. Slazenger U12's had mixed results from their first tournament of the season. They worked hard for a goalless draw with Leeds Adel Carnegie, then saw off Halifax 2-1 with goals from Matthew Smith and Isaac Fisher but subsequent games against Leeds, Hull and derby foes Wakefield were lost by a single goal.
