Slazenger Men's 5's took on local rivals Wakefield in a friendly and after a tight, evenly contested 1st half no one would have been able to accurately guess the final score at the half-time interval, when the match was tied at 0-0. Slazenger's Mens Veterans team played their first home game of the season against Huddersfield Vets on Sunday. Both teams made a sluggish start to the game, probably due to the wintery conditions. It's a long long time since Slaz played a match without even getting one short corner - however this is what happened at Weetwood on Saturday.
