Slaz knew that they had to beat Halifax to avoid a possible bottom three place this week. Slaz we missing a few players so asked a couple to step up and prove themselves, which they did with vigour. Man of the match Jack Mumford who scored 2 goals and sealed the win had a great game causing confusion and error in the opposition D. Slaz Mens 2nds anticipated a tough encounter with top of the table rivals Sheffield Hallam 6th's. Slazenger 3's started their first game after the Christmas break against a much changed Doncaster team and it showed as it was the home team that struggled to get going. Slaz started the new year with a good 4-1 victory away at York. The team were caught on the break; against the run of play, and were punished - going 1-0 down early on.
