With some major changes to the team this week Slazengers battled hard, held their shape and played as a team. Unfortunately Leeds scored 2 goals from short corners in the first half. Slazengers ladies thirds celebrated a comfortable victory as they recorded their first win of the season against Doncaster Independent who had dropped a league this season. Slazengers' first goal came from Karen Woodhead after some quick play in the box. A second followed by player of the match Ellie Page scoring with a good strike. Slazengers went into this game on a good 3-3 result from the previous week. Harrogate got a early goal due to Slazengers lazy start but once they got onto thier stride slazengers dominated possession with help from Mark Swinden and Captain Paul Wiper in midfield. the first goal came from some fluid build up play down the right and a nice finish from Will Copley . Slazengers mens 2nd team travelled to Chapeltown 2's in confident mood following their first win of the season the previous week but in the end, had to settle for a 2-2 draw. Slazengers' first home game of season did not get off to a good start. By half time they where 3 nil down,with a penalty flick being conceeded within 5 minutes of the game starting. With 10 minutes to go the team were still losing 4 -1. However, the team rallied and their never say die attitude brought them back into the game, netting 3 times in the last 10 minutes.
