Slazengers travelled to Chapeltown in the morning for a crucial match in their promotion chase. Chapeltown were in 3rd place before the game and 5 points behind Slaz with a game extra to play. In the early exchanges Slazengers were second best as Chapeltown put pressure on the Slaz back four. Slazengers Mens 2nd team continued their recent good form with a 2-1 victory over Ben Rhydding 4's and although the win was deserved, the match was far from a classic. Slazengers started well controlling possession and moving the ball to create openings but rarely troubled the Rhydding keeper early on. Mens 3 hosted Leeds Adel, and will be feeling unfortunate to only come away with a single point. The team started strongly, playing fast flowing hockey absent for much of the season, putting Adel on the back foot immediately. Slazenger had the lions share of the posession, though struggled to convert early on.
