The team were without a few key players, however the team played some fast flowing hockey in parts, putting the early pressure on. Slazenger 4s started off their campaign with a deserved victory vs Worksop 2s on a sunny afternoon at home. They started off well with an end to end first half which could have resulted in either team going 3 up at the break. The ladies 1st team had a tough start to the season with an injury riddled encounter against KUH 1st's. The game was delayed early on when Kelly Whittam was injured, causing the game to be delayed. Slazengers ladies 3's made an impressive start to the season with their first game at home to a promising Sheffield Hallam side. Due to the summer reshuffle of the leagues, Slazengers were entertaining a side who finished last season 2 leagues above.
