Slazenger Ladies 3’s travelled to Epworth in an attempt to secure their second win of the season.
Slazengers created some brilliant goal scoring opportunities, with Amy Brereton putting in a strong performance up front on her debut and being awarded with player of the match. Unfortunately Slazengers were just unable to find the back of the net.
Despite solid performances in defence from Sarah Ritchey and Mandy Lacey the Slazengers team were caught just before the half time whistle with Epworth managing to secure the lead with one of their only attacks of the half.
The second half remained goalless with both teams putting in strong performances in an evenly balanced battle. Around an unlucky loss for the Slaz 3’s however the team are showing great strength in all areas of the field with a real positive attitude moving into next weeks fixture.
