Slazengers ladies 1's travelled to a very cold Driffield this weekend. However team spirits were high after a good team performance the previous week. Slazengers ladies 3's travelled to Brigg for their Saturday afternoon fixture keen to build on their win from last week. Slazengers mens 2nd team suffered back to back defeats for the first time this season eventually going down 3-1 at home to Sheffield University Bankers mens 5's. In recent games Slazengers have failed to create chances but rectified that in this game creating a number of opportunities only to lack the finishing touch. For the second weekend in a row Slazengers had 2 games. The game started in a cold, wet and rainy Hull but Slazengers went out hard and had most of the possession and control. By half time Claire Dunstan and Naomi Frith had scored 2 goals each and Hull had little chance on goal. The mens 1st team had a tough encounter with high flying Lindum 2nds, a strong physical team with a good run of form. Slaz started well brightly, with some good passing play and high pressing. However, Lindum defended well, and the game was well balanced for the first 20 minutes.
