Slazenger U12's were undefeated over the weekend beating Thirsk 4-6 in their first game, taking a 3-0 victory from their second with York A, sharing a goal less draw with Doncaster from game three and defeating York B 3-0 in the final game. A much-changed Slazenger fourths secured a 6-6 draw at Halifax against the host club's fourth string. Slazenger scored the opening goal through John Sykes, who along with Dave Smyth scored further goals to give the visitors a 402 lead. But Halifax hit back again and stunned Slazenger by taking a 6-4 lead. Slazenger thirds had their toughest game of the season to date, eventually being squeezed out by Sheffield sixths 2-3.
