After only being able to grab a point at Lincoln Slazengers men’s 2nd team were hoping to get back to winning ways with a home match against Scunthorpe 1st team. After a good home win last week Slazenger men’s 2nd team were looking to go to Lincoln and get a result but only managed a 1-1 draw. The home side went ahead only a couple of minutes after the start with a well worked quick goal fed from midfield which split slazengers defence and was slotted passed the keeper. After putting in an excellent performance at title chasing Grimsby the previous week, Slazengers mens first team were confident of taking the points against lowly Thirsk on Saturday only to put in their worst performance of the season eventually losing out 2-1. Slazenger Ladies 3rd’s hockey team were back to winning form for their first home game of the year. Slazengers were playing Tadcaster Magnets and took charge of the game from the off. Slazenger Men's 3rds took to the pitch after a long break as a result of winter weather, coming away with a well fought 2-1 victory. The team started brightly, attacking swiftly. Chapeltown rose to the pressure however, and the first 20 minutes was a continual back and forth as both teams fought for dominance.
