Slazenger's mens first team made it three wins out of three with a hard faught 1-0 victory away at Brigg seconds last Saturday. BRITISH HOCKEY CALL UP FOR AILISH HENDRY In her first year at Greenhead College, Huddersfield - Slazenger Hockey Club 1st Team Player Ailish Hendry has been selected to play for the ‘British Colleges Team’. Halifax attacked from the start and forced the Slazengers midfield and defence to work hard at keeping them out of their defensive 25 yard line with goal keeper Lisa Chappell preventing and successful shots. Another unsunny day in Adel, but this did not dent the spirits of the Slazenger ladies 1st XI who have only had one game since November due to the bad weather. This break did not appear to have had a detrimental effect on the teams match fitness or skills. Slazengers Mens first team continued their good form with a well deserved 4-2 home win against Sheffield Hallam mens fifth team on Saturday. The game started at a fast tempo with Slazengers making all the running and soon took the lead when Ben Graham finished off a good team move following good work from Paul Wiper.
