Slazenger’s mens first team made it three wins out of three with a hard faught 1-0 victory away at Brigg seconds last Saturday. Slazengers had the majority of the possession in the first half and went close on a number of occassions only to be denied by the Brigg keeper. Richard Tuddenham went closest after breaking through only for the keeper to make the save.
The second half was much of the same with Slazengers making the better chances with Ben Graham and Dan Perry both going close but it was left up to Phil Midgley to grab the winner off a short corner. James Walker didn’t have much to do in the Slazengers goal, but made a couple of excellent saves when called upon and both Will Buckley and Phil Midgley were excellent in the centre of the Slazengers defence. Slazengers will look to continue their good form at home to LA Carnegie this coming Saturday.
