This was a top of the table v bottom of the table clash, which Slazengers knew they had to take the 3 points from. The start was rather sluggish and Slazengers needed to wake up from there long journey to Driffield. Driffield had a few lucky breaks and put the pressure on, but Slazengers managed to score 3 goals by half time. Slazengers mens first team new they were in for a tough time against Lincoln Roses second team having lost 3-0 earlier in the season but in the end were disappointed to come away with only a 2-2 draw. A weakened Slazenger 3rd team struggled against visitors Leeds, starting slowly and never really picking up the pace during the first half. Their cause wasn't helped when Steve Johnson had to leave the field, injured by one of his own team mates. Slazenger Men’s 2nd Team travelled to Hull University 2nd team looking to get a win against a team who had lost their last 5 matches but were unable to do so and ended up losing 6-2. Slazenger Mens 3rd's traveled away to Leeds Adel Carnegie at the weekend, and were unfortunate to come away with a 2-1 loss. This result is a blow to the teams promotion hopes. Slaz were looking for the full 3 points, and their start demonstrated the ambition. Some great passing and early pressure by Slazenger resulted in a great many chances.
