Slaz ladies 1st team faced off against one of the strongest teams in the league; Newcastle university 1st team. After a fast and furious game, the team came away with a solid draw, in a 6 goal thriller. Slazenger men's 3rds breezed through the away quarter final cup encounter with Rotherham 4ths, beating them 6-1. Rotherham, who had been unbeaten in cup encounters for 3 years struggled to keep pace with a fast and fluid Slazenger side. The game began sluggishly with both teams making some good chances on goal. Slaz look confident on the ball with good holding play from Ben Graham feeding the ball off to the runners to break the D.
