Slaz were very happy to be re-united with the minibus for their trip to Driffield and hoped that they could soon erase last weeks' disaster from their minds with a convincing win. However the day didn't start very well due to a flat tyre and the team were delayed in setting off. Slaz were unlucky to come away with a loss, after enjoying the lions share of attacking opportunities in an open game at the Southfield's pitch. The team worked hard, though struggled to achieve dominance in midfield. With such openness, the defence had to put in a big performance. This exciting game of hockey was a spectacle to watch with end to end chances! Slaz got the first break with a magnificent Claire Dunstan run through the middle, only for the shot to go wide. Brigg then caught slaz on the break and obtained a penalty corner which they converted 1-0 brigg. Slaz kept the heads up and after many attempts on goal, slaz won a PC. Report: 14-10-2012 – Boys U10’s Promoted from First Tournament
A new season and some new faces but still a side with an average age of 8 took part in the first tournament of the year starting in Division C against some older and more experienced teams.
