Slaz arrived at Sheffield to a wet foggy pitch, both teams applied good pressure to get the ball back and when they had the ball moved it around well. Slaz created good chances around the 25 but seemed to lack that flair and power in the D. It was Sheffield uni bankers that opened the scoring. Despite a delayed start away at Sheffield Hallam and the pouring rain, Slazenger 3rd's didn't let the conditions distract them and started their latest division 6 match brightly and laid siege to the Sheffield goal from the first minute. Report: 24-11-2012 – Mens 4th’s (1) vs. (3) Wakefield 6th’s
Slazenger had a tough encounter with Wakefield, however based on previous performances made their visitors look a lot better than they should. The team worked well in the early stages, with James Walker netting for the home team. However, Wakefield worked their way back into the game, equalising before the break.
