The U12 boys made some good progress at their most recent tournament, gelling as a team, with some stand-out performances. We took a full eleven players includng two 'keepers, with a couple more outfielders unavailable this weekend, which bodes well. Three of the boys were at their first ever tournament. Slazenger Boys U10's travelled to Pocklington School, newly promoted, and ready to make waves in division 2. In the end they proved more than a match. With most players well under 10 years old, they are becoming a force to be rekoned with! After putting in an excellent performance at title chasing Grimsby the previous week, Slazengers mens first team were confident of taking the points against lowly Thirsk on Saturday only to put in their worst performance of the season eventually losing out 2-1. Wins won't come any easier in the Ladies Yorkshire Premier Division. Despite fielding a depleted side, Slazenger took the initiative from the off, scoring two early goals from Katie Firth and debutant, Jessica Rudge. Slazengers mens first team travelled to Thirks mens first team looking to cement their unbeaten start to the season and came away with a well deserved 4-1 win.
