Slazenger men's 3rds breezed through the away quarter final cup encounter with Rotherham 4ths, beating them 6-1. Rotherham, who had been unbeaten in cup encounters for 3 years struggled to keep pace with a fast and fluid Slazenger side. Slazengers mens first team finished the season with a 4-1 win against a physical Rotherham side. Slazengers pressed from the whistle and went close on a number of occassions, Paul Wiper finally getting the break through with a deft touch to elude the Rotherham keeper. Due to a rescheduling coincidence, Sunday saw the second match against Rotherham, this time on home ground. Unfortunately Rotherham supplied an umpire; a decision which would come back to haunt Slaz.
