Mens 4th team travelled away to Rotherham for their first game of the weekend. Slaz travelled with a slightly weakened side, with several missing members. However the biggest problem proved not to be the lack of numbers, but some impressive goalkeeping from the opposition keeper. Slazenger travelled to Rotherham expecting a hard game but seemed to make it hard for themselves in the first half. Although they didn't allow Rotherham much space for them to settle into their formation, Slaz never really looked like they were going to score. Gunning on fire again!! Slazenger Men's 5th team were playing at home against Rotherham in their latest fixture in the Yorkshire development league. Fielding a young team the home side had to weather early pressure from the opposition who were strong in defence and had several skillful opponents in midfield. Slazenger's started the brightest in this division 6 cup fixture, with several telling attacks down both flanks and generally controlling the possession well in midfield with Ste Roberts and Rowan Tejura dictating the play and spreading the ball out wide to the wingers. A good first morning for the Slazenger Boys U16 A team. Results as follows: Slazenger 2 - 2 Doncaster A slow start against Doncaster meant that Slazenger's defence had to be sound.
