Slaz began with zeal and created chances early on but poor midfielder shooting resulted in a quiet half and Doncaster were able to clinch one in the first half despite great defending from Matt green. Facing top of the league was always going to be a tough game. Slazengers started too slowly and Selby scored 2 goals fairly quickly. Slazengers battled well and no more goals came in the first half. Slazengers under-tens maintained their unbeaten record for the season by winning the West Yorkshire Mini Hockey Championships at Weetwood in Leeds.
